In India we have several languages from north/south to east/west. Various languages, its sounds and 'breathé' are easy to interlink via music. Here are some instrumental compositions via selective languages such as bangaali, gujraati, himaachali, marathi, punjaabi, raajastaani, uttar pradesh and south Indian combined.

I truly cannot bifurcate as to who is a Badshah and/or is the Shehenshah. But both are 'Ek se badkar ek' indeed. Amongst various ghazal maestros two from the asian country have their individual specialty, rendering, composition, la excellent selections of lyrics by known or unknown poets and its final 'delivery' to the mass music lovers. These collections are comprised on a live concert of two 'Ek se bad kar ek' on a common platform, and that too for the first and the last time!!! I have put it in three sections for an easy convenience. I would certainly look forward for friends, old and new, to enjoy, cherish and with a free feedback as well.

When I first heard ghazals I knew only Pankaj Udaas. But during the time of Marathi Sahitya Sammhelan, on the pave lawn of Kala Academy in Panaji, the chairperson was (at that time) Ranjit Desai. He and his wife, Madhavi Desai, were staying at Hotel Samraat in Panaji. During that period, he noticed that I was hearing the ghazals sung by Pankaj Udaas on my walkman player. He told me to stop it and gave me a different ghazal cassette instead. I realized that my perspective of ghazals voluminously changed entirely. Here are those that I hear, cherish, enjoy and share with all who will love it too, sung and composed by nun other the Ghulaam Ali !!!

RAAG MAARU BIHAAG

Since my childhood, with and around my environment and 'mental' growth, music "made, played as well grew" parallel around me. During the end of '70s my father had purchased a LP (Long Play) with the face and name of a budding hundustani vocal artist at that time called Prabha Atre. Personally I was quite childish. Yet, after my first hearing I was feeling excited though not particularly in its technical aspects. A few days later I hear it again. I was getting a simple yet 'different' feeling. Calm, relaxed and sense of mixed combination of spiritual as well happiness. As I grew, I used to get the opportunity for various festivals and concerts and eagerly waiting to hear more and particularly for that similar raag. That was the time I came to know that it is a particular rendition raag called Maru Bihaad. Years later last year during the end of 2009 I was in Music Academy in Chennai for the live concert of Pandit Channulal Mishra. My past memories were 're-enlightened'. So I decided to compile the collections on raag Maru Bihaad. I have put this together sung by various raagdhaari hindustani vocal singers to share with friends, old and new.

श्रीमती मालिनी राजुरकर (१९४१ में पैदा हुई) एक ग्वालियर घराने की हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय गायक संतोष व्यक्त किया. वह राजस्थान के राज्य में भारत में वृद्धि हुई. , उसके भविष्य के पति वसंतराव के एक चाचा गोविंद राजुरकर, शुरू में उसे संगीत सिखाया. वह तो आगे वसंतराव मालिनी. भारत में प्रमुख संगीत उत्सव, गुणिदाससम्मेलन (मुंबई), तानसेन समारोह (ग्वालियर) में शामिल किया गया है के तहत संगीत सीखा, सवाई गंधर्व समारोह (पुणे), शंकर लाल समारोह (दिल्ली), श्रीमती केसरबाई केरकर समारोह.

Shrimati Malini Rajurkar (born in 1941) is a noted Hindustani classical singer of Gwalior Gharana. She grew up in the state of Rajasthan in India. Govindrao Rajurkar, an uncle of her future husband Vasantrao, initially taught her music. She then further learned music under Vasantrao. Shrimati Malini has performed in major music festivals in India, including Gunidas Sammelan (Mumbai), Tansen Samaroh (Gwalior), Sawai Gandharva Festival (Pune), Shankar Lal Festival (Delhi), Shrimati Kesarbai Kerkar Festival (Goa).
